Pretty Princess

Mila's favorite gifts from xmas are her princess pajamas from Gogo and her lip smackers chap stick. She requests these pj's every night, even though she has a drawer full of pjs and every morning when she comes into our room she has these extra glossy lips from her lip smackers.

These days Mila's into exploring the neighborhood and climbing, walking and balancing on anything and everything. Yesterday we took a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood and it turned out to be a very long walk home. Mila was having fun running around, climbing and touching everything.  Mila did learn about the flower the birds of paradise and today driving home from school we started pointing out when we saw these flowers. It's been so cute since she gets so excited when she sees them.

Melts My Heart

Some of my recent favorite moments with Mila are these little sweet moments of her tender heart and lovable self. She has been taking both Fab and my hands and giving us lots of kisses or wants to give us kisses on our checks.
Tonight at dinner she said,  I love you guys. Are you happy? Fab and I both said yes, and asked her if she was happy and Mila's reply was "Yes, can't you see my smiles".
She had such a sweet soul and is such a lovable little girl. I know she's going to be a loving big sister!

Puppets

It's so sweet, Mila is truly into arts and crafts.  Throughout these past few weeks we have been enjoying coloring and doing crafts and today we ended her winter break with a final project. I had taken her to Joann's today since I needed to get a few sewing items and we had so much fun picking out crafts we could do at home. Of course Mila doesn't forget a thing so the minute we arrived at home she wanted to open all the crafts we bought and get started on them. I intentionally bought some extra crafts that Mila will be able to do when the baby arrives but she was so eager to do a project that we came up with making puppets.  We sort of whipped these up since we were trying to get her into the bath and ready for dinner but they actually turned out pretty cute. Here are the finished products.

Winter Break Ends

Today was Mila's last day of winter break and we decided since the weather was pretty nice we would head to our favorite park at the beach. Little did I know, Mila had her own agenda. After 5 minutes of swinging and playing on the playground, she told me she wanted to get close to the ocean. Of course she remembered I packed an extra pair of clothes (which I usually do when we leave the house for a while) so she told me it was ok if she got wet in the ocean. When I told her it was a great idea she took off running down the beach in the sand and had her pants rolled up so fast so she would be ready to get her toes in the water. The ocean was FREEZING but Mila was so happy to be at the beach enjoying the nice day.  I then convinced her that we should ride the carousel but we found out it's closed on Wednesdays, so we ended up having ice cream instead. Nothing beats warm weather and ice cream on a January day.  What a wonderful way to end her last day of winter break.

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to this year and know good things are in store for 2013.  Our night was pretty much like any other night, Mila getting in bed around 6:30pm and Fab and I posted up on the couch. I was in bed by 10pm... ah so lovely. I was able to get a few pics of Mila. I asked her to give Fab a New Years smooch and she basically gave Fab a soap opera kiss! And we had her take a picture of Fab kissing the belly... this is what we got, our feet.
Here's to 2013, new beginnings and babies.

Helping Hand

Mila's been such a big girl these days and wants to help with everything. She's been great at setting the table or unloading the dish washer and today she wanted to help Fab put up the Hushmok for the new baby.
